Crescendo Magazine: Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue

This pianist plays with delicacy, especially in Summertime and in the Three Preludes. He also plays with accuracy, in the style desired by Gershwin. The fact that Rhapsody in Blue appears here in a transcription for piano solo (by Gershwin himself) allows great freedom in the performance, especially in the rubato tempo. József Balog does wonders, and we start to hope for a version with orchestra (jazz or symphonic, whatever)!
